WARNING
DO NOT install this client on a University Managed Desktop device.

If you are having VPN connection issues or the client is missing from a University device, do not use this installation, the issue should be reported to and fixed by the DTS team responsible for Managed Desktop devices. Continuing to install this client on University devices will create future connection and support issues.

For non-SHU and personal devices:

Please click on one of the links below to download the client for your operating system and then install the downloaded software.
On first run of the installed client, it will ask for a portal address:

  • For staff and ESC codes, enter vpn.sec.shu.ac.uk and click on Connect.
  • For students, enter stu-vpn.sec.shu.ac.uk and click on Connect.

This will then open a browser window where you should authenticate using [USERCODE]@hallam.shu.ac.uk and the password for this account.
